Collision of Evil

by John J. Le Beau
An
American stumbles into the wrong place while hiking in the Bavarian
Alps and sets off a chain of events that resonates around the world….
Robert Hirter is determined to find out who murdered his brother,
Charles. Kommissar Franz Waldbaer doesn’t want Robert’s assistance in
the matter despite the scarcity of clues in the investigation. What
darkness will they uncover? Evil knows no boundaries of time as Robert
and Franz will find the sinister ties reaching back to the Third Reich.
COLLISION OF EVIL isn’t a flashy spy thriller with a terrorism twist.
Instead, it is a methodical and evenly paced adventure in which the
reader is given true insight into the workings of an international
investigation. John J. Le Beau’s bio on the cover of the book indicates
he had a long history of working in the CIA and his firsthand knowledge
shows clearly in the details of COLLISION OF EVIL.
The focus of COLLISION OF EVIL is in the process rather than in any one
character. The novel is mainly told from the perspective of the present
with flashbacks to the time of the Third Reich. The author weaves past
and present together in a very readable fashion. Readers who enjoy
vivid descriptions will appreciate John J. Le Beau’s use of language as
he addresses all the senses, allowing one to not only visualize but
also taste, hear, and smell the surroundings. COLLISION OF EVIL is an
interesting mesh of literary fiction and the spy thriller.
