Merry, Merry Ghost
Merry, Merry Ghost by Carolyn Hart
by Carolyn Hart

Bailey Ruth Raeburn loves Christmas! In fact, it is her love of Christmas that makes her so perfect for the next adven-mission back to earth. Wiggins has very little time to brief her but insists she must follow the Precepts for Heavenly Visitation, a concept Bailey struggles with. She’s given another chance, however. She must protect Keith, the grandson of the wealthy Susan Flynn. Unfortunately, one of Susan’s heirs is less than thrilled with the arrival of a blood heir and now Bailey has to use all of her ghostly wiles if she is to fulfill her adven-mission!

MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS is the second book in a series featuring Bailey Ruth as the heroine. This is my first foray into the series and I’m thrilled to say that it’s easy to jump right in and enjoy this cozy Christmas mystery! Carolyn Hart provides readers with enough history to appreciate the precariousness of Bailey Ruth’s position as a Heavenly emissary while showing enough character development to make it enjoyable.

MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS is one of those tales that is just sheer fun! Bailey Ruth’s quirky personality is lighthearted and caring, while the villain’s identity remains a secret until the very end, keeping the reader guessing as to which heir is devious and sick enough to murder for money.  Carolyn Hart adds a nice Christmas-style happy ending to keep the story from veering off and getting too dark. Bravo!
