One Magical Christmas
One Magical Christmas by Carol Marinelli
by Carol Marinelli

4.5 Stethoscopes

Angus Maitlin is starting out all wrong with Imogen, the new temporary help in the accident and emergency department.  He questions her qualifications as well as her familiarity with the surroundings!  Imogen isn’t the sort of woman anyone can be irritable towards for long, however.  Her cheery disposition and her dedication to her patients are beyond the call of duty.  Love is in the air but can these two people from very different worlds make a relationship work?

ONE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS is the companion book of HIRED: THE ITALIAN’S CONVENIENT MISTRESS.  It can easily be read as a stand alone but read together the reader gets the full flavor of Carol Marinelli’s stories.  The events of the two books occur almost simultaneously, with ONE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS beginning with the events that lead to the situation occurring in HIRED: THE ITALIAN’S CONVENIENT MISTRESS.

Carol Marinelli has a gift at evoking dark emotions and shedding light on them.  Angus is going through a divorce and his mood is somber, but Imogen brings a ray of hope into his world.  Imogen isn’t the sort of woman to just fall into line and accept whatever Angus is willing to give her, however.  She has the self-confidence to know that she is worthy of love, even if it means she loses Angus in the end. Carol Marinelli crafts a bittersweet romance that shows the true spirit of Christmas in ONE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS.
